Institutional Set Aside Accounts
Continued Professional Development (CPD) is an essential requirement in the provision of quality service within the NHS, social work, education, and the voluntary sector. SIHR's wide range of established trainings and services have for many years provided such a service.
Our Institutional ‘Set Aside’ Accounts are designed to help trusts/ departments/ organisations plan and organise their training needs in advance. Often staff can make application for training funds at points when annual budgets appear tight, at other times there is an end of year underspend. These accounts allow Institutions to pay into a named SIHR account when money is available and then have time to plan the best use of this money in terms of staff training and service needs over the next year. Funded staff can then either apply for any one of the recognised courses,or attend relevant seminars. In addition tailor-made packages specifically for the needs of the organisation can also be developed, eg. training packages, consultation, bought in supervision, short courses, personal therapy/counselling. This system also helps us plan our training and service provision.
